JR Real Estate Group’s Managing Partner, Saif Rahman, participated in a thought-provoking panel hosted by Bisnow on “Community in Motion: Transforming Town Centers for a Vibrant Future,” moderated by Jonelle Cameron (Shareholder, Walsh, Colucci, Lubeley & Walsh), with panelists Truett Young (VP of Land, Stanley Martin Homes) and Austin Haynes (SVP, Holladay Properties).

The panel explored the complexities of mixed-use developments, addressing challenges like high construction costs, balancing financial and planning goals, and the need for planning departments to update outdated regulations to better serve end users. Success hinges on having the right tenant mix, accessibility to transportation, and meeting the needs of customers at all times of the day.
